Chateau du Seuil Graves Rouge 2005
A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. The wines from this appellation take their name from the deep river gravels that cover the entire plateau. This gravel is combined with sand, clay and limestone which all contribute to the uniqueness of the Graves and the characteristic minerality which is expressed in the wines. The different varieties are fermented individually in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, then pressed and passed into barrels to undergo malolactic fermentation. The finished wine is aged in oak for up to 18 month prior to bottling.
