Our goal in blending two noble wine grapes together is to acquire the best attributes of each varietal and marry them in a complimentary and seamless way. Cabernet Sauvignon is the foundation of this wine, adding power, structure, richness, grip, and complexity. Syrah brings generous, juicy, ripe flavors and a spicy nature that blends beautifully with the Cabernet. We have added a touch of Mouvedre this year to add a little spice to this dynamic blend. Our minimalist approach to producing "Final-Final," using indigenous yeast during fermentation and not filtering or fining, adds to the "purity of fruit" that is the hallmark of Washington State grapes - you receive a wine that is both delicious and very complex.

Efest, pronounced F-S-T is an acronym for Daniel & Helen Ferrelli - Patrick Smith - and Kevin & Angela Taylor. Daniel, a second generation Italian had been making wine in his garage forever,passing on the tradition of his family to his son-in-law Kevin Taylor.

With a love for all wines but strong interest in Australian wines they took a trip there to discover what made the wine so unique. The Spirit of Australia was discovered and returned were three friends and the idea, not to take yourself too seriously, enjoy your family, friends and anyone else that would like to join you in a glass of wine, breaking of bread and a good laugh.
