100% Nebbiolo (called Chiavennasca in this area) hand harvested & selected. Macerated on the skins for 10 days under controlled tempuratures. Aged for 3 years in oak barrels.

Casa Vinicola Pietro Nera was founded by Guido Nera in the early 1940’s. At the end of 1950's, Pietro Nera succeeded his father Guido, by tenaciously continuing the family business, finally uniting all of the family estates (about 38 hectares or 94 acres) located in the classic production areas of Valtellina: Sassella, Inferno, Grumello and Valgella. Today Pietro Nera's sons, Stefano and Simone, are in charge. Stefano is the wine maker and Simone is in charge of marketing.

Caven Camuna is the name of the family’s single vineyard, small production, ‘reserve’ wines.
