Behind a vast array of everyday wine a local distributor discovered an incredible discovery - cases of Beringer ’07 Chardonnay Private Reserve. Their find is your treasure – we are offering you this highly rated wine at a 40% discount, only while supplies last.

Beringer Vineyards was founded in 1875, is the oldest continuously operating winery in the Napa Valley. Year after year, they turn out a premium Chardonnay that is truly stunning. Robert Parker reviewed this vintage with tremendous applause – “The 2007 Chardonnay Private Reserve (always one of California’s top Chardonnays) has toned down the toasty oak component, exhibiting excellent nutty, honeyed, buttery notes of orange marmalade, brioche, and spice. Full-bodied, rich, and pure, it reminds me of a Burgundian premier cru from Chassagne-Montrachet or Meursault.” 92 points – The Wine Advocate.

"Intense and vibrant, rich and full-bodied, with a complex mix of ripe pear, honeysuckle and honeydew melon. Gains depth and nuance, with a subtle mix of flavors on the finish. Drink now through 2012" 91 points – Wine Spectator

To retain the brightness of the flavors, each Chardonnay lot was kept separate throughout the aging process. After sending the fruit directly to press, winemaker Laurie Hook fermented the juice in French oak barrels (62 percent new) to enhance the natural richness in the wine. Weekly lees stirring enhanced the toasty notes, and integrated the oak flavors for an overall balance. All of the wines were put through malolactic fermentation to encourage a lush creaminess. After 9 months aging, Winemaker Laurie chose the most expressive lots and blended them to create a richly layered wine featuring flavors of citrus, baked pear, hints of minerality and a creamy mouthfeel.
