Cambria 'Bench Break' Pinot Noir 2004
In 1986 proprietor Barbara Banke purchased the historic Tepusquet Vineyard and established Cambria to produce single vineyard and small block Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs—along with small quantities of Syrah and Viognier — from the winery’s estate vineyard in the cool-climate Santa Maria Valley.
The Cambria Estate now spans 1,600 acres in the heart of the Santa Maria Valley appellation in Santa Barbara County.
Every wine bearing the Cambria name is 100 percent grown, produced and bottled on the estate.
The unique east-west orientation of Santa Maria Valley and unobstructed access to coastal wind and fog creates one of California’s coolest and longest growing seasons.
Cambria is part of the famous Tepusquet vineyard originally planted in 1970 on the Santa Maria Bench. The Bench features ancient, gravelly, eroded soils laid down by the Sisquoc River and the Tepusquet Creek over the Millennia.
