100% Tempranillo (aka: Tinto Fino) from vines between 15 and 25 years old. The grapes were macerated for 25 days with remontage. Aged in 50% French Allier and 50% American oak for 12 months.

Bodegas Emilio Moro is a family owned winery that has been making wine in Ribera del Duero for more 120 years. Located in the town of Pesquera, Valladolid in the Ribera del Duero appellation where dry summers and long, hard winters converge. In 1932 the winery’s first vineyard, ‘Finca Resalso’, was planted. The vineyards, located at 1,950 feet on the banks of the Duero River, are composed of clay with gravel and chalk soils. They are planted with the purest clone of the indigenous Tempranillo varietal, known in Spain as “Tinto Fino.” This clone has been used to graft all the vine plants of the winery’s vineyards, which have gradually grown in surface over time. Starting in 1987 the family decided to spend more time, money and resources on their wine trade instead of simply selling their grapes, the results have been phenomenal.
