Domaine Sainte Eugenie Corbieres 2010
The estate is located within the foothills of the Pyrénées along the Mediterranean coast. Clay and chalk soils dominate here. The dry weather, sunny and warm climate combine to create an optimal growing environment.
This wine is made entirely from free-run juice. It is a blend of about 40% old vine Carignan (65+ years old) with the rest being a blend of Grenache and Syrah (25-46 year old vines). The wine is vinified for 9 month in barrels varietal by varietal. It sits in small cask for up to 15 months before bottling.
